SRI RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIDYALAYA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, COIMBATORE – 20
SCHEME OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH POLYTECHNICS

Under the Scheme of Community Development Through Polytechnics funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi, from the year 2009 onwards, our Polytechnic College has been conducting short term vocational training courses for the rural poor, un-employed youth, disabled persons, minorities and women.

During the current year, the following skill trainings were conducted in the main centre & various extension centres.

SRKV ITI Main Centre:
1. Welding & Fabrication, 2. Areca-nut Plates Making, 3. Basic Electrification and House Wiring, 4. Cell Phone Servicing for men only.
Thekkupalayam:
1. Advance Tailoring, 2. Basic Tailoring, 3. Toys Making, 4. Terra Cotta & Paper Quilling, 5. Hand Embroidery 5. Non-Woven Bag Making for women only.
Rajunagar:
1. Basic Tailoring for women only.
Bharathinagar:
1. Jewels Making for women only.
Periyanickenpalayam:
1. Office Automation & Tally, 2. Basic Computer Applications for men & women.
Surandai:
1. Basic Tailoring for women only.
Kannarpalayam:
1. Basic Tailoring, 2. Toys Making for women only.
